He is survived by: his wife Betty Jo Sawyer; his sons, David Sawyer (Susan) of Hildebran and Dennis Sawyer of Lenoir; his stepdaughter Dawn Sawyer of Lenoir; his grandchildren, Chad Sawyer, Ashley Francum, Tyler Sawyer and Haley Sawyer; and his great grandchildren, Aspen Duncan, Gunner Sawyer and Ivy Duncan. He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
