It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jewel Coffey Rhames of Lenoir, North Carolina, who passed away on October 3, 2023, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wallace Coffey and Charlotte Griffin Coffey; and her sister Wanda Friesland. She is survived by: her husband Johnnie Dale Rhames; her children, William Friesland (Summer) of Hudson, Shawn Friesland (April) of Lenoir and Valerie Corley (Todd) of Lenoir; her brother Timothy Coffey of Lenoir; her grandchildren, Kendall Helton (Cameron), Lucas Corley, Johnathan Jordan, Hailey Friesland and Hayden Friesland; and her great grandchild Liam Helton. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
