He was predeceased by: his father Melvin Watson; his brothers, Daniel Watson and Danny Watson; his niece Cynthia Watson Sanders; his uncles, Jones Lee Price, Jr. (Della), David Price and Tim Hodge; and his sister-in-law Olivia Watson (William Ross Robbins, Jr.).
He is survived by: his son Jesse James Watson, Jr.; his mother Dorothy Watson; his siblings, Dean Watson (Gwen) and April Earp (Dwayne); his aunts, Judy Hodge and Joyce Price; his niece Brandie Williams; and his close friend Regina Burgett. He is also survived by family members on his father's side, lots of cousins.
