He was predeceased by: his father Jesse F. "Tack" Justice, Sr.; his wife Irene Whisnant Justice; his children, Jesse Steven Justice and Janet Mae Justice; and his siblings, William "Bill" Collins and Louise Justice Conder.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kathy Justice McKinney (Ted M. "Teddy") of Spruce Pine and Diana L. Justice of Lenoir; his sister Marion Justice Moore of Lenoir; and his friend Tim Stewart of Lenoir. He is also survived by twenty-eight nieces and nephews.
