He was predeceased by: his father William James Riley; his wife Denise Riley; and his siblings, Johnny Riley and Helen Church. He is survived by: his children, Jerry Dean Riley, Jr. of Lenoir, Everett James Riley of Conover, Michelle Becker (Randy) of Arizona and Katie Ross of Rhodhiss; and his siblings, Harvey Riley (Barbara) of Hickory, Jim Riley (Mert) of Newton and Gail Lail (Johnny) of Conover. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
