He was predeceased by: his father Milton Franklin. He is survived by: his son Jeff Jones (Brianne Hays); his grandchild Ames Hays; his siblings, Keith Williams (late Pat Williams), Marshall Williams (Darlene), Tommy Williams (Kathy), Steve Williams (Debbie), Betty Williams Beshears, Linda Williams Wright (Jeffery), Jimmy, Alfred Williams, Rebecca Williams and Carolyn Williams McGhinnis; and his friend Ron Allen. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Amorem Hospice 902 Kirkwood St NW, Lenoir, NC, and the "Cemetery Fund of Mt. Hermon UMC".
