With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jay Van Bentley (Lenoir, North Carolina), who passed away on March 19, 2021 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Conley Bentley and Faye Spears Bentley; his children, Vance Allen Bentley and Kimberly Bentley; and his brothers, Stanley, Collis, Fred, Kenneth and Clyde.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Smith Bentley; his sons, Michael, Jay Edward and Jonathan; and his siblings, Kelly, Susie, Gail, Irene and Lorene. He is also survived by five grandchildren, a step grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
