He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Ralph Pennell and Elvia Underdown Pennell; and his sister Sylvia Jean Pennell. He is survived by: his wife Martha Kay Brittain Pennell; his daughters, Anita Pennell DeChellis (Dan) of Easton, PA and Allison Pennell of Hudson; his grandchildren, Vivian DeChellis and Gabriel DeChellis of Easton, PA; and his siblings, Wayne Pennell (Elinor) of Savannah, GA, Ernest Pennell of Florence, SC, Darrrell Pennell of Lenoir, Rick Pennell of Lenoir and Mildred Pennell Roberts of Asheville.
