He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Helton and Mae King Helton. He is survived by: his wife LaVelle Chandler Helton; and his children, Charles "Lance" Helton (Carla) of Pickens, SC and Amelia "Amy" Wolfe (Bruce) of Newton. He is also survived by one nephew; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; nieces and special friends.
