He was predeceased by: his parents, James Luther Hackett and Sarah Ferguson Hackett; and his sisters, Carolyn Lindon and Veacie McMillian. He is survived by: his fiancée Constance Smith; his children, Shakeita Hackett of Greensboro, April Hackett, Larisha Ferguson of Lenoir, Velecia Hackett, Risha McCorkle of Hickory, Theodore, John, Chester Ferguson of Lenoir and Ricky Adams of Hickory; his siblings, Sarah Stuckey of Winston-Salem and Jerry Horton of Wilkesboro; and his godchildren, Tavannya Warren and Tijuan Corpening of Lenoir. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren.
