It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Elbert Poston of Lenoir, North Carolina, born in Florence, South Carolina, who passed away on June 10, 2020, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James "Jimmy" Olie Poston, Jr. and Oalia Turner Poston. He is survived by: his brother Dwayne Poston of Lincolnton, NC; his uncle Donald Poston of Pamplico, SC; and his aunt Harriett Hicks of Catawba, NC..

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Union Grove Baptist Church.
