He was predeceased by: his father Banner Sanders; and his siblings, Terry Sanders and Kay Chapman. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Houck Sanders; his son Jack "Bug" Sanders (Karen White) of Lenoir; his siblings, Danny Sanders (Janet) of Shelby, Larry Sanders of Hickory and Doris Warren of Lenoir; and his granddaughter Bethany Sanders.
