He was predeceased by: his father Grady Suddreth; his former wife Mamie Williams Suddreth; his sister Lottie Wilson; his brother-in-law Rathmell Wilson; his brother Ralph L. Suddreth; his sister-in-law Louise Straub Suddreth; and his grandparents, J. William, Ella T. Suddreth and Etta Louelle.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Starnes Suddreth; his stepdaughters, Lynn Lytle of Charlotte, NC and Rebecca Lovette of Hilton Head, SC; his grandsons, Hayden, Drew Lovette of Charlotte, NC and Ross Lovette of Savannah, GA; his siblings-in-law, John Starnes (Linda) of Lenoir, NC and Greta Starnes Bolick (Bill Whetzel) of Hickory, NC; his nieces and nephews, Joelle Kuhlman (Charlie) of Greensboro, NC, Heather Bolick of Greensboro, NC, Martin Bolick (Arlene) of Lemont, Michael Starnes (Lisa) of Lenoir, NC, Judith Starnes of Hickory, NC, William "Bill" Suddreth (Joann) of Lenoir, NC, R. L. Suddreth Jr. (Susan) of Boone, NC, Judy Brown (Ronald) of Lenoir, NC and Philip Clarke; his godson Todd Abernathy; and his children, Hope Alliance and P. O. Box.
