He was predeceased by: his father Fred Bolick; his son Joseph Scott Bolick, Sr.; and his siblings, Verla Bolick, Lucy Gray, James Bolick and Don Bolick.
He is survived by: his wife Paula Philyaw; his children, Jack E. Bolick, Jr., Regina Wallace, Christina Sparks and Michael Triplett; and his sisters, Rebecca Mitchum and Judy McLean.
