It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Irma Marie Whittington of Lenoir, North Carolina, who passed away on May 7, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dayton Laws and Dorothy Gragg Laws; her husband Wesley R. Whittington; her siblings, D. C. Laws and Edith Baldwin; and her son-in-law Samuel McCracken.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sherry McCracken of Morganton and Paula Briscoe (Ken) of Oak Island; her siblings, Dennis Laws of Morganton, Ray Laws of Morganton, Mary Moody of Elk Park and Wilma Lopez of Branson, FL.; her grandsons, Joe Wes Briscoe (Kate) of Raleigh and Nicholas McCracken (Katie) of Morganton; and her great grandchild Emory Briscoe.
