He is survived by: his wife Laura Kay Groome (Kaeti); his sons, Steven Dunning Groome (Susan), Jonathan Kelly Groome (Drew) and James Houston Groome; his grandchildren, Abby, Zach, Paige and Scott; and his sisters, Lee Odom and Cindy Thurman.
