He was predeceased by: his parents, David Luther and Martha Etta Philyaw (Barnett); and his siblings, George, Eddie, Charles, Joe and Millie Bowen.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy (Braden Bartlett); his children, Harley Jr. (Wonda), Greg, Chris (Stephanie), Bryan (Angie), Barry Bartlett (Kathie) and Lea Thomas; and his siblings, Dennis, Essie Coffey, Ruth Humphreys, Carolyn Philyaw, Dolly Coffey, Jewel Hollar and Pop. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and four great grandchildren; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
