He is survived by: his grandson Austin; his wife Cynthia "Cindy" Sumlin Gentry; his stepsons, Thomas Faw, Jr. (Felicia) of Lenoir and Daniel Faw, Sr. (Misty) of Lenoir; his stepmother Evelyn Gentry of Lenoir; his stepfather-in-law Stanley Elder of Lenoir; his brother Robert Gentry (Julie); his stepsisters, Teresa Gryder (Doug) of Lenoir and Carolyn Hatley of Hudson; his stepgrandchildren, DJ Faw (Saba), Austin Faw and Abby Zaremba; and his brother-in-law Dennis Sumlin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
