He was predeceased by: his father Preston Plato; his brother Herman Archie Bentley; and his niece Penny Kerley. He is survived by: his sisters, Wilma Huskey of Lenoir and Thelma Sumpter (Billy) of Lenoir; and his nieces and nephews, Ricky Huskey, Will Sumpter, Andrea Lawrence and Frankie Schmitt.
