She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Hensley and Annie Hensley. She is survived by: her husband Austin Moretz; her daughter Anna Crooke (Arex); her grandson Aidan Crooke of Lenoir; and her sister Pat Suttles of Asheville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Warren Wilson College or St. John's Lutheran Church.
