It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Georgia Aileen Brown of Lenoir, North Carolina, who passed away on September 8, 2022, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Hatley and Mattie Coeburn Hatley; and her brothers, Michael Jackson Hatley, Edward Dale Hatley and Donald Eugene Hatley.

She is survived by: her son Mikeal Lingle (Kimberly) of Lenoir; her siblings, Douglas Hatley (Eileen), Carleen Wood (David), Wanda Townsend and Greta Ecret; her grandchildren, Hunter Lingle (Alexandrea) and Amber Smith (Austin); and her great grandchildren, Remi-Anne Lingle, Miles Smith and Georgia Lingle. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
