He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Silva Collins; his children, Michael Miller of Conover, Chad Collins of Tennessee, Gary Vance Collins, Jr., Carol Collins Gonzalez of Missouri, Jamie Lawson (Brandon) of Colorado, Shanna Collins of Texas, Brandy Collins of North Carolina and Samantha Collins (Enrique) of Colorado; and his sisters, Sharon Atwood (Ron) of Hickory, Wanda Banks (Mike) of Hickory and Dorothy Collins of Hickory. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
