It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Phillip Minton of Lenoir, North Carolina, who passed away on January 9, 2025, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Gary Phillip had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Gary Phillip may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his mother Josephine Laws Minton; his wife Connie Baird; and his brothers, Tommy Norris and Preacher Mike Minton. He is survived by: his father Paul Minton of Lenoir; and his siblings, Cindy Norris of Rhodhiss, Sandra Long of Lenoir, Kay Beard (Larry) of Lenoir, Greg Minton (Susan) of Lenoir, Bob and Terressa Baird of Taylorsville.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Yadkin Valley Baptist Church (4135 Steeltown Rd, Lenoir, NC 28645).
