He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Colbert and Nellie Marie Phillips. He is survived by: his son Fredrick Delane Phillips Jr.; his grandchildren, Desiree, Leanna, Lleisha, Destiny, Tashanea, Eli and Amari; and his siblings, Sallie Burgess (Steve) of Lenoir, Katie Phillips of Lenoir, Gloria Cunningham (Clarence) of Clinton, Mattie Phillips of Lenoir, Alice Sumlin (Hugh) of Lenoir, Jenelle Phillips of Lenoir, Gwen Lytle of Lenoir, Felicia Booker of Lenoir, Malcolm Phillips of College Park and Sherman Dula of Lenoir. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
