She was predeceased by: her father Fred Sims; her husband John Wesley Cook; her son John Fred Cook; and her siblings, C. D. Sims and Amy Sims Gregory.
She is survived by: her sons, David Cook (Becky) of Lenoir, Ken Cook (Barbara) of Suwanee, GA, Joel Cook (Gina) of Whittenburg and Mike Cook (Sonya) of Lenoir; and her sister Jeanette Fortenberry of Jackson, MS. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members.
