He is survived by: his close friend Roberta Hartley Blinson; his daughter Kathryn Hamby (Justin Benge); his grandson Sklyar Hamby; his brothers, Lester Alan Hamby (Barbara) and Roy Robin Hamby (Tina); and his pet Blue. He is also survived by five nephews.
