With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Faye S. McGhinnis (Lenoir, North Carolina), who passed away on January 28, 2024 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Wallace Swearengin and Joncie Swearengin; and her husband Jack A. McGhinnis. She is survived by: her sons, Jack McGhinnis and Mark McGhinnis (Jessica); her grandchildren, Abby, Austin and Connor; and her brother Jarrett Swearengin.

Faye was a vital part of Caldwell County during her time as the Director of Caldwell Memorial Hospital Foundation and an active member of ABWA.

“i remember faye well- we both attended whitnel school during the 50's. i did her hair occasionally in the 60's- she invited us over to see the new house she and jack had built, she was so proud of it and it was beautiful- i have thought of her often over the years and remember her fondly- may she rest in peace- sincerely barbara robertson gentry”
