He was predeceased by: his father Edward Ellis Rich; and his son Christopher Lee Rich. He is survived by: his mother Dora Pauline Phillips Rich of Lenoir; his sons, Eugene Leonard Rich Jr. (Inta) of Charlotte and Joshua Paul Rich (Amie) of Acworth, GA; his siblings, Edwin Rich of Lenoir and Judy Rich Summerow (Roger) of Lenoir; his grandchildren, Damian Michael Rich, Johnny Dula and Arturs Aurzins; and his great grandchild Kagen Dula.
