He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Esley Hope Forbes, Jr. and Doris Carter Forbes; his son Stephen Forbes (Patti) of Granite Falls; his siblings, Harvey Forbes (Joan) of Sanford, NC, Annette Cannon of Boone, NC and Nancy Harriett (Bill) of Danville, VA; his granddaughters, Kristin Benfield (Richy), Stephanie McKinnon (Justin) and Elizabeth Link (Ryan); and his great grandchild Ansley Benfield.
