It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edna Blackburn Clark of Lenoir, North Carolina, who passed away on January 28, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Harrison Blackburn; her former husband Joseph Barker; her children, Robert Barker, Joseph Barker, Jr., Donnie Ray Barker and Donna Kay Barker; and her siblings, Opal Pruitt, Ardna Gambill and Earl Blackburn.
She is survived by: her children, Jerry Barker (Judy), Charles Barker (Susie), Harley Barker (Nanette), Daniel Clark (Becky), JoAnn Clark (Larry), Martha Earp (Larry), Audrey Eckard (Larry Jo), Clariss Childers (Owen) and Tammy Swink. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Poarch Chapel Missionary Methodist Church at 3580 Playmore Beach Road, Lenoir NC 28645 or to a charity of your choice in honor of Edna.
