He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathaniel Miller and Ruby Hughes Miller; his wife Linda Bentley Miller; and his siblings, Barbara Jean Haney and Vester Miller.
He is survived by: his children, Carl Miller (Tracey) of Vale, Susan Miller (Jean) of Morganton and Kim Growden (Mark) of Hudson. He is also survived by three brothers; one sister; 11 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
