He was predeceased by: his father Dwight Earp, Sr.; and his grandchildren, Matthew Church, Tiffany Earp and Justin Hamby. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Melton Earp; his children, Chris Church (Wendi) of South Carolina, Jennifer Tolbert (Greg) of Morganton, Marsha Benge of Lenoir and Amy Coffey of Lenoir; his sister Judy Mikeal of Lenoir; his grandchildren, Michael Griffin, Kristen Tolbert, Seth Church, Kalee Church, Micah Church and Megan Hicks; and his great grandchildren, Jace Griffin, Justin Griffin and Edith Laney.
