She was predeceased by: her father Wade S. Howell; her former husband David Bruce Williams; and her sister Ruby Jeanne Triplett. She is survived by: her husband Mack A. Hochschild of Hickory; her stepchildren, Justin Hochschild (Summer) of Asheville, Joseph Hochschild of Asheville, Shannon Williams Woods of Lenoir, Sharon Williams Whittington of Lenoir and Frances Sabahive (Thabiti) of Asheville; and her siblings, Wade Howell, Jr. (Susan) of Lenoir, Rev. Doug Howell (Ronda) of Lenoir, Kathy Hendrick (Andy) of Lenoir and Patsy Gentry (Doug) of Lenoir. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her five beloved cats.
