She was predeceased by: her father William Smith. She is survived by: her brother Hoover Smith; her daughters, Elisabeth Bliss-Jaynes (John) of Conover and Neta Bliss of Boone; and her grandchildren, Brent, Kayla and Jason. She is also survived by extended family.
The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made in honor of Doris to Matney Liberty Church at PO Box 1671 Banner Elk, NC 28604 or to the Matney Community Cemetery.
