She was predeceased by: her parents, Herby Boyd Mikeal and Agnes Greene Mikeal; her son Mikeal C. Steele; and her siblings, Charles W. Mikeal, Bernce S. Mikeal and Ruth M. Helton.
She is survived by: her daughter Shonia Tidwell (Philip); her brother Chester "Check" Mikeal; her grandchildren, Devin Steele, Aaron Steele and Emma Steele; her great grandchild Mikeal C. Steele; and her pets, Max and Ava. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.
