He was predeceased by: his parents, Hamp Walker and Christine Hedrick Walker; and his siblings, Wilson Walker, Clay Walker, Don Walker and Jeanette Bristol.
He is survived by: his children, Nick Walker (Beth) of Lenoir, Matthew Walker of Kings Creek and Shannon Winkler (Doug) of Lenoir; his siblings, Terry Walker (Judy) of Lenoir, Collie Foster of Boomer and Alice Arline Greer of Lenoir; the mother of his children Janet Mueller of Taylorsville; his grandchildren, Cierra, Katie, Nicholas, Matthew and Mattie; and his great grandchildren, Tanner, Tyler and Gannon.
Due to COVID-19 a private graveside service will be held at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Darlene Stokes and Rev. Sarah Fouts.
