He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Edward and Colene Greene Minton; his wife Elaine Minton; and his siblings, Barbara Watson and Namon Minton.
He is survived by: his children, Tamara Minton Cook (Doug) and Richard "Richie" Minton (Johnna); his grandson Graham Minton; his siblings, Shirley Calloway (Claill), Wanda Hamm, Bonnie Townsend, Diane Casper (Tommy), Ruby Casper (David) and Mack Minton (Mary Jane); and his brother-in-law Stanley Watson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
