He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Otis Richard and Pauline Jelley Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Michelle Annas Thompson; his stepdaughters, Marli Byrd Dowell (Rodney) of Boone and Jamie Odom of Granite Falls; his siblings, Paul Thompson (Betty) of Lynchburg, VA, Lynne Thompson Booth (Arnold) of Kernersville and Anne Thompson Bryant (Tony) of Winston-Salem; his nieces, Meghan of Winston-Salem and McKenzie Bryant of Winston-Salem; and his grandson Javorrshe.
