He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Allen Brown and Rebecca Ann Watson Nelson. He is survived by: his son Cory Allen Shew of West Jefferson; and his brothers, Randy Brown (Sandra) of Lenoir and Jimmy Brown (Rosa) of Lenoir.
