It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dana Townsend of Lenoir, North Carolina, who passed away on December 4, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Townsend and Eva Townsend. He is survived by: his wife Rachel Townsend; his children, Vicki Brown (Perry) and Wayne Townsend; his granddaughter Heather Gryder (Justin); his great grandchildren, Sawyer and Lily Gryder; and his siblings, Glen Townsend, Buddy Townsend (Daphene), David Townsend (Darlene), Barbara Wheeler and Pat Greene. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family respectfully requests in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Amorem Hospice.
