She was predeceased by: her mother Carol Joyce Carter Price. She is survived by: her father Howard Lewis Price; her significant other Sam Ellis; and her sons, Thorn Ellis (Taylor) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Trey Ellis of Lenoir and Cade Ellis of Lenoir. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
