He was predeceased by: his father Lester Claude Coffey; and his wife Phyllis Angie Coffey. He is survived by: his children, Toby Coffey of Lenoir, Tina Coffey Wilson (Moe) of Lenoir, Amy Martin (Gwen) of Lenoir and Beverly Bowman of Granite Falls; and his sister Linda Triplett (Barry). He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
