He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Watson and Fannie Hodge Watson; his wife Evaline Church Watson; his son Aaron Kent Watson; his daughter-in-law Melissa Greer Watson; and his siblings, Harvey Watson, James "Boonie" Watson, Ruby Hodge, Mandy Watson and Launa Watson.
He is survived by: his sons, Kenneth Watson of Lenoir and Kirk Watson (Judy) of Lenoir. He is also survived by grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
