She is survived by: her husband Gar Handy; her son Gar Handy Jr.; her sisters, Vickie Church of Lenoir and Linda Meadows of Taylorsville; and her sisters-in-law, Faye Coffey of Lenoir and Oza Hayes of Morganton. She is also survived by numerous nieces nephews and extended family.
