He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Newberry and Mary Helen Davis Crotts; his son David Crotts; and his sister Pat Whittington (Kenneth). He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Beach Crotts; his daughter Katharine Hardy (John) of Lenoir; and his granddaughter Elizabeth Grace Houck of Lenoir.
