He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward J. Smith and Viola Price Smith; his siblings, David Smith, Louise Duncan and Marie Smith; and his grandson Joshua Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Greer Smith; and his children, Charles Edward Smith (Marsha) of Wichita Falls, Texas, Rodrick Kenneth Smith (Sondra) of Wichita Falls, Texas and Alison Hudson of Lenoir. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
