He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Vaught and Pearl Harper Banner; his stepfather Early Banner; his son Brandon Connelly; and his great grandchild Jayden Chester.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah Deal Banner of Lenoir; his children, Terrence Banner (Joni) of Lenoir, John Chester (Mandy) of Heath Spring, SC, Brandy Banner (Johnathan Tugman) of Lenoir, Dorva Connelly of Lenoir and Jewel Patterson (Kyle) of Lenoir; and his siblings, Keith Wilson of Forrest City and Ruth Dula of Lenoir. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other beloved family members.
Graveside services will be private. Due to COVID-19 face masks and social distancing will be required.
