He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia Melton Greene; his daughter Debbie Thomas; and his siblings, Ceivel Greene and Marlene Honeycutt. He is survived by: his daughter Cheryl Garrison (Charles Jr.) of Morganton; his siblings, Vernon Greene (Rosa) of Hudson, Frank Greene Jr. of Lenoir, Jerry Greene (Kay) of Hudson, Thom Greene (Diana) of Lenoir, Larry Greene (Thelma) of Lenoir, Willie Mae Hege of Lenoir and Betty McKinny of Greenville; his son-in-law Mike Thomas of Hudson; his grandchildren, Aaron Thomas (Wendy) of Hudson and Allie Thomas of Hudson; and his great grandchildren, Aaliyah Thomas and Tayler Magnus of Hudson.
