It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Capitola Elizabeth Watson of Lenoir, North Carolina, who passed away on February 12, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Foy Barnett and Pansy McGee Barnett; her former husband Kenneth Greer Watson; and her siblings, Raymond Ishmael Barnett and Josephine Shuford.

She is survived by: her husband Kenny Nelson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church at 1369 Blowing Rock Blvd. Lenoir, NC 28645.
