He is survived by: his children, Mary Bryan Carlyle of Cape Carteret and Wheeler Coy Carlyle (Sharon); his daughter-in-law Shannon Carlyle; his granddaughters, Meredith and Madison Carlyle; and his brother Shelby Lou "Shag" Carlyle (Betty Jean) of Kinston.
